Okay, so I got this idea from the friendship bracelet exchange thread (I still have to make my bracelet!). Since there's not much time until the day itself, here's how it's going to work.
Note (or Private Message, or AIM [TheOneNOnlyTophy]) me if you want to participate in the exchange; I'll need the address you want your Valentine sent to, too. I'm not sure P.O. boxes will work, since some people might send 3-D Valentines (some Consumators are extrememly creative, thoughtful, and/or extravagant, haha) or something. You MUST note me by 11:59 P.M. PST (-8 GMT) on Monday night. If you happen to have not notes... post here and we'll figure something out.
You will be assigned someone to send a Valentine to. Assignments will be sent to you by Tuesday at 6 P.M. (PST, of course).
Okay, so I won't get too specific with the Valentines... but be kind and sincere. Make it thoughtful. Try not to just send something resembling a tattered business card with nothing aside from the pre-printed "BE MINE, VALENTINE?" written on it. I plan on actually making mine, if you want to give that a go. I might also attach candy or something, haha. These are just a few ideas.
So, Valentines shouldn't go out any later than Saturday, February 9th, which I know doesn't give you much time... but hey, I just want people to get their Valentines by the actual day. I will try to match people up that are local to each other, just to shave off some postal travel time.
I will continue to update the "Master List" and post it here until 11:59 on Monday, so that everyone can see who's participating. I won't pair people in such a way where their "giver" is the same person as their "receiver" (don't make that any more sexual than it has to be, haha). That way it will be a SECRET Valentine exchange! BUT, to ensure accountability, I will post the sender-reciever chain on the 15th, so everyone knows who sent something to who and who got something from who, haha. So be sure to sign up to participate only if you really are going to participate! Since the person you're supposed to send something to will find out who you are on the 15th. And maybe hate you for life if you don't send anything (ahaha, just kidding).
