You guys keep raving about those. I'll have to try one sometime. Although tomato juice and beer sounds a little weird.

Also, I wish I had a crockpot. The best I can do is make a huge pot of chili, which feeds me for days. It is good chili though.

1. Open the pot.
2. Put your foodz into that pot!

Also, I've heard the "on" switch helps with this...

Look up crotch pot meals on the interweb and make them for us! It would be perfect for you because you DO just throw all the shit in there and then let it sit all day.
Quit fagging up my thread.

ok both of these recipes are pretty healthful too the way i make them, since i don't use any dairy or too much oils.

a good crock pot recipe for chicken soups: (the amount of stuff to use depends on the size of your crockpot. i think mine is 5.5 quarts.)

4 carrots, sliced
4 potatos, cut into pieces (i use red ones, skin on)
chopped up onion
celery stalks, sliced (lots because celery is tasty)
mushrooms, sliced
any other root style veggies you want, like parsnips or whatnot

i put most of this stuff in, then place 2 well-trimmed chicken breasts on top. then i sprinkle some more onion on top of that, and place a few celery tops in (the part with the leaves, because leaves have MMM FLAVR.)

then i add about 4 cups of low sodium broth, seasonings to taste, and cover that shit up on high for 6 hours. when it's done, you can pull/shred the chicken apart with two forks. and you have delicious soup. if you wanted to make it without potatos and add rice or pasta, i normally cook those seperately and add them in per serving so they don't get too shmooshy sitting in all the broth.

i will have to find a good beef stew crockpot recipe i have somewhere.

now for the chicken stew recipe:
the below serves me for like 4 meals, depending on how piggy i am.

ingredients:

can of white beans, drained
can of northern beans, drained
can of white corn, drained
2 sm cans of green chiles chopped, drained (personally i use 1 mild, 1 hot, but that's up to you)
2-3 large chicken breasts
1 onion, chopped
tsp of cumin
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1 cup or so of chicken broth

boil the chickens, chop 'em up

now in a big pot, put some oil or non-stick spray and cook the onions/garlic a little.
add the shredded chicken and cook a little more.

now add all the beans and corn and chiles and spices and broth and stir stir stir.

i cover and let simmer a bit until stew consistency is reached. stir occasionally to prevent sticking/burning.

i serve it over raw spinach, because the heat from the stew wilts the spinach nicely. i guess you could put some cheese on there if you wanted.

this is one of my favorite things to eat.
One scoop of creamed potatoes. A slice of butter. Four peas. And as much ice cream as you'd like to eat.
