Lessons learned while traveling

Always bring your own food with you.

Most of you know this already, as evidenced by your preparedness and thoughtfulness in bringing food to Disneyland.

I once saw a ten dollar box of Rice Krispies cereal at a convenience store for hikers and campers near Yosemite. I can get a box of the same for around $2.

Dude bringing our own pb&j stuff to Disneyland was the best idea we've ever had. I'm doing it again next time.

It is totally easy to park in a hotel parking lot and sleep in your car. If you're questioned, make a big stink about fighting with your significant other and how that 'crazy bitch/bastard' won't let you back in the room.

I bet it's easier in a parking garage with a car cover on the car, that way no one can even see you in there. I've been saying for years that we should try it.

When you're traveling, and it' 4 in the morning and you really need to crash, hotels tend to be a lot closer to the highway than parking ramps. Also, parking ramps tent to have restricted access and patrols.

The hotel we stayed at for the Disneylandsumeet had a parking garage we could easily camp out in. I think the Hilton Convention center parking garage would work too though I think they'd notice in their cameras that you parked and never got out.

Don't drink the water.
Don't touch the natives.
Don't leave your room.
Don't make eye contact.

JK. Although honestly, some people do travel with that sort of neurotic preparedness for disaster. And it makes me wonder why they are even bothering going anywhere.
